Our Care Team
Any care home is only as good as its staff, and therefore, these are our most valuable assets. All our staff have undergone a rigorous selection process, a minimum of two references have been obtained and verified, a full criminal record check (CRB) has been obtained and verification that the applicant is not on the INDIPENDENT SAFEGUARD AUTHORITY (ISA) register. 
Once they have started work, training begins. All our care staff are either NVQ2 qualified or working towards the award. They are encouraged to gain higher qualifications that are relevant to their posts, many of our care staff are now working towards NVQ levels 3 & 4, and management training, as well receiving full training in health & safety. They are also trained in moving and handling, dementia care, fire safety, infection control, nutrition, medication (accredited), safeguarding adults, recognizing abuse and food hygiene. By investing so much time and resources into our staff, the result is that we have a way below average staff turnover, which in return means that we can offer a more consistent level of care to our residents, as well as exceeding the standards expected by the Care Quality Commission.
